Terms and conditions

OUR TERMS

This document sets out the standard terms that apply to you (our passenger) when you join us (Take it Easy Tours) for your packaged tour in New Zealand and overseas.

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS

If you book a packaged tour with us and pay your deposit, you are deemed to have accepted these terms.

ITINERARIES

The itinerary for your packaged tour was correct at the time of printing, but it is subject to change without notice.  This could be from a range of factors outside our control like weather, road conditions, other tour operators amending/changing a planned activity.  We have no liability to you for changes to your itinerary but of course will do our utmost to ensure everything happens on tour as planned.

OUR RESPONSIBILITIES

We are responsible for booking and packaging goods and services provided by other operators (“other operators”) such as hotels, attractions and transportation companies to create your Packaged Tour. We recommend that you familiarise yourself with the terms that will apply to those goods and services. We are not responsible and have no liability to you for the terms of other operators or for any loss, damage, omission or acts,  negligent or otherwise, committed by those other operators.

SINGLE PASSENGERS

All our tours are based on twin/double share.  However, if you are a single passenger you are welcome to join us by paying the single supplement cost.

HEALTH AND FITNESS

Passengers should be in good health and able to walk moderate distances to fully participate and experience the sightseeing opportunities within the enclosed itinerary.  All passengers are required to acknowledge that they are of reasonable health and are considered to be fit to travel and are not travelling contrary to any medical advice.

COVID - 19 cancellation policy for New Zealand travel

COVID - 19, has created uncertainty for us all, therefore for cancellations directly related to COVID - 19, we have updated our “normal cancellation” policy to the following: If the New Zealand government imposes travel restrictions that impact our ability to deliver your booked tour before departure, our ideal preference would be to reschedule the tour when travel is permitted. If this is not possible, passengers will receive a full credit, less any applicable airline or supplier cancellation fees that Take It Easy Tours has been charged. If travel restrictions are imposed while on tour, we will seek credits on any unused portions on the itinerary from all suppliers. All applicable credits to be returned, will first be applied to any costs that have been incurred on our passenger’s behalf. For example, if alternative accommodation or transportation has been required to repatriate the passenger to their home. Any remaining refunds will be credited to the passenger for use for future bookings. Passenger’s personal situations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Take it Easy Tours strongly advises all passengers to purchase a travel insurance policy when booking a tour. Ask us about further information about travel insurance for your upcoming tour.

PAYMENTS

You must pay the required deposit outlined within your itinerary to confirm your booking.  All balance payments must be received as stated on your tour itinerary.

NEW ZEALAND TOURS CANCELLATION POLICY

By making a booking with us and paying your deposit you agree to pay us the full price for your booking.  Please see your chosen tour itinerary for payment information and cancellation detail.

No refunds on any unused portions of any itinerary.  The exception is if a sightseeing service is cancelled by operator due to weather conditions/safety concerns etc and the operator authorises a refund.  Please refer to individual tour itinerary

Please note that any applicable airline content does not apply to the above refunds – see your airline for their specific cancellation/refund policies.
